Infinity mandala 2024
A beautiful, unique artwork created with real tiny mice, shrew and vole bones. This piece features lots of angular vole teeth and features some curved incisors in the centre.
In my infinity mandalas the bones go close to the edge of the frame so the artwork looks amazing from every angle.
This stunning artwork is mounted onto matte black Fabriano card. It is displayed in a 12x12cm black shadowbox frame with a matte black border.
Lots of hours have gone into this piece finding the perfect bones to use. Due to the amount of the same bone types used and a limited supply of bones, I can't make pieces like this often.
My artworks are made with real bones sourced ethically/naturally through wild owl pellets. The bones are dissected from the owl pellets and then they are cleaned and whitened. Then they are sorted through meticulously into my bone boxes ready to use for art.
My art process is long and tedious. Each bone has been individually selected and carefully put into place before glueing them down. Tweezers and a needle are used to carefully move the bones to make sure they work with one another and flow naturally.
