A lovely little arrow love heart piece made from real tiny bones.
The love heart has been mounted slightly off the background giving it a slight 3D effect.
The artwork has been mounted onto a matte black Fabriano card and is displayed in a black 12x12cm shadowbox frame with a black matte border.
 
This is my first attempt at a new style so I didn't want to make it too complex and there is a little bit of glue visible in places, however you can't see it unless you look closely.
All these artworks are created with real bones sourced ethically/naturally through wild owl pellets.  The owl pellets are dissected for the skulls and bones then the bones are cleaned and whitened over several days. I then go through the bones sorting them into different bone types using tweezers, then they go into my bone boxes ready to use for my artwork.
My art process is long and tedious. Each bone has been individually selected and carefully put into place before glueing them down. Tweezers and a needle are used to carefully move the bones to make sure they work with one another and flow naturally.
