Infinity bone mandala
This beautiful psychedelic design has been created purely from mice, vole and shrew scapulae (shoulder blades). The bones go right up to the edge of the frame so it looks amazing from every angle!
The mandala has been mounted onto a lovely matte black Fabriano card and is displayed in a black 12x12cm shadowbox frame with a black matte border. The depth of the frame is 3.5cm. The glass has been removed for the photos.
 
All these artworks are created with real bones sourced ethically/naturally through wild owl pellets.
 
The owl pellets are dissected for the skulls and bones then the bones are cleaned and whitened over several days. I then go through the bones sorting them into different bone types using tweezers, then they go into my bone boxes ready to use for my artwork. Each step of my process is tedious and time consuming which is reflected in the prices. Prices are dependant upon the time taken, style of the art and the availability of the bone types used.
